I am so glad you found us. Here you’ll find me being raw about the struggles and triumphs of raising a child with Noonan Syndrome as well as being a mom to four of the most amazing support systems a brother could ask for. We live, eat, and breathe teamwork. When I started Parker’s Story in 2012 I spoke mostly of Parker. As years have passed I’ve decided that it’s time to revamp Parker’s Story, because honestly, it isn’t just Parker’s story. It’s a family story. It’s beautiful, it’s hard, it’s full of purpose even on the days that we are asking why.
Since 2010 I have learned so much about fulfilling my role as Parker’s mom, a special needs mom. You see when you have a child with a disorder it becomes your life. Right, wrong, or indifferent it changes every aspect of who you are and how your family functions. It’s not a badge of honor to be displayed, it’s a fact. The truth is there is no comparison when we are talking about the great big world of special needs. There is no room for judgment on this journey. There is only room for acceptance.
